Miscommunications Between Nurses And Doctors Can Be Serious Medical Malpractice

Medical Malpractice Mistakes

Nurses are the frontline of healthcare.  And doctors are the healthcare providers.  They work in tandem together to provide healthcare to patients.  This is particularly true in hospitals, where healthcare teams comprised of nurses, doctors, physician assistants, technicians, and other staff are necessary to providing patient’s healthcare and saving their lives.

But with all of these different providers, there must be good communication between them.  It is impossible for a doctor to know what a nurse has did or is thinking if there is no communication between the nurse and the doctor.  The same is true of the technicians and lab technicians and the doctor.  There needs to be communication between them.

And when there is not, it is much more likely that there will be medical malpractice.  In fact, communication is the number one contributing factor for causing medical malpractice.  It can result in horrific pain and suffering.  The miscommunication or lack of communication which causes New York medical malpractice is typically between the nurse and the doctor.  This is when healthcare providers do not talk to each other in a manner which is sufficient to explain what they have done and are thinking for patient care.

There is also miscommunication and a lack of communication with the patients.  Meaning, patients are not getting the information that they deserve.  They either get the wrong information or they get information they do not understand and want to learn more but are not explained.  These leads to frustration and a medical malpractice lawsuit.

When these types of errors occur, it can be very serious medical malpractice can occur.
