Fire him! You have the right to fire your lawyer at any time and for any reason. The retainer agreement that you signed does not require that you keep your lawyer. If your lawyer has been dishonest or hiding information from you and you feel that there is no trust left in your attorney-client relationship, then by all means fire the lawyer and take the time to find the right lawyer for your case. Find an attorney that makes you feel comfortable and whose work you are confident in.
